Businesses employing 50 to 99 people in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire numbered 1,310 in 2025 and 1,375 in 2026, rising in both years. Businesses employing 500 to 999 people numbered 150 in 2024 and were falling, and businesses employing 100 to 249 people 750 in 2026, also falling. Businesses numbered 120,730 in 2026, of which 95,990 employed 0 to 4 people, and business sites 137,505. The larger size bands fell while the 50 to 99 band rose.
