The claimant count in Belfast fell from 9,725 in September 2025 to 8,855 in December, 8,830 in January 2026 and 8,710 in May. The proportion of residents aged 16 to 64 claiming fell alongside it, from 4.2% in September 2025 to 4% in November, 3.8% in December and 3.7% in May.
